Kodaline ‘All I Want’ Live in Dublin – Created using FanFootage technology

Sunday 16th March 2014 in the O2 Arena Dublin marked a defining moment in the meteoric career of Irish indie foursome Kodaline. Playing their biggest headline show to date in front of a passionate crowd of 14,000 hometown fans, the band used FanFootage to create a special video memory of the night together with crowd.

Before ending the show with their signature hit song “All I Want”, lead singer Steve Garrigan asked the fans to film the moment on their phones and cameras, and upload their videos to FanFootage. Using our award-winning event video technology, we were able to automatically sync all the fan videos with professionally-recorded live audio and create an epic broadcast-quality live video of the performance, all through the eyes of the fans.

The edited video has launched on Vevo.com, with all the individual fan camera angles available to watch on FanFootage.com and on the FanFootage iPhone & Android apps.

We have worked with Kodaline already and are big fans of their music so obviously when they approached us about this landmark show we were delighted to get involved and show what our technology can do. The video really captures the emotion and atmosphere of what was a very special night in the O2 Arena and an amazing shared memory for both the fans and the band.

It was our biggest Irish gig to date also. So we really enjoyed being there to share that moment with Kodaline. It as electric.

Cathal at the Web Summit with 90 Seconds UK

Cathal Furey the Founder & CEO of https://fanfootage.com gives us an insight into the new way of video collaboration. FanFootage pulls together all the “fans” video “footage” that they’ve recorded at say an event, and allows a viewer to watch any angle they want with a consistent high quality sound over the top. See it from the fans perspective! Very cool. Cathal also compares it to democratising photos with instagram and the likes.

Ludovico Einaudi | Brothers Official Video Premiere

Help us record the official video for ‘Brothers’ from Einaudi’s new album In A Time Lapse and your footage could appear on Vevo.

ImageLudovico Einaudi has always been known for the evocative imagery and rich emotions his music conjures. Now we are working with him to give you the chance to test your creativity and express what his music means to you by helping us film the video for Brothers.

We want everyone to get involved, so whether you have top of the range equipment to contribute. Play Brothers in the back ground of your footage and get recording. Einaudi is interested in how you interpret the piece, not your film making qualifications or what you are filming with. What’s more important is that you listen carefully to the track and capture what you feel is right.

We are excited to see how our technology can be used in such a creative and different way.

We will combine all the uploads to produce the final video which you’ll be able to watch. And the end product will see the final edit of the video to Einaudi’s Official VEVO channel for a fantastic grand premier.

Here are some things to remember before you begin filming.

1. You must ensure the track is audible in the background of your footage. So we can sync all the entries and edit them.

2. Remember to shoot in landscape

3. Your videos must be more than 15 seconds in length

4. You can enter by shooting your footage and uploading it at 45sound.com/Einaudi

That’s it! Everything else is down to you so get shooting and help us and Einaudi produce something very special for this beautiful piece of music. Download it here.
